HGTS Inc began with Herman Gomez. From 1967 to 1985 Herman gained his expertise through mentors and companies in the tree care industry. As a climber, he became certified by the IBEW allowing him to complete specialty jobs and train future journeyman.
In 1985 Herman Gomez Tree Service and Landscaping Inc opened for business! Herman spent a lifetime passing on his techniques and skills to the crew! He focused on safety, integrity and efficiency.
30 years later, Hugo, this son-in-law, took over the business. With over 20 years of arborist, supervisory and machine operating experience, he earn the position with the knowledge to complete any job requiring arborist and landscaping expertise.
After a lifetime of exposure to their grandpas training and working every summer since the age of 12, Ernesto joined the team full time in 2022 and Cristian in 2023. Ernesto is a Certified Arborist with ISA.
Herman may have hung up the saddle and spikes, but every now and then he shows up on the site! His knowledge opened up a path for a family business which we love to do everyday! He retired to North Carolina where he continues to work and play with a saw mill making beautiful custom slabs of wood!
